Siamo nella Grecia dei miti, delle leggende, degli eroi. La regina Alcmena cede alle avances di Zeus per avere un figlio in grado di sovvertire il regime tirannico del re Anfitrione, suo marito, e riportare così la pace in una terra ormai vessata dalle troppe guerre. Hercules, il principe semidio, non ha però alcuna conoscenza dei suoi natali divini o di quello che sarà il suo destino. Il suo unico desiderio è avere l’amore della bellissima Ebe, principessa di Creta, che è stata promessa in sposa a Ificle, suo fratello, dal re che prova un profondo risentimento nei confronti del giovane Hercules. Una volta venuto a conoscenza della grandiosità del suo destino il giovane semidio dovrà però scegliere: fuggire con il suo vero amore o realizzare il suo destino e diventare il più grande eroe di tutti i tempi.

Nel maggio del 2009, l’equipaggio della Space Shuttle Atlantis, ha dato inizio alla missione per alcune riparazioni fondamentali e ad aggiornamenti del telescopio spaziale Hubble, il primo telescopio ottico nello spazio. Una macchina da presa IMAX®, ha ripreso delle immagini sbalorditive delle cinque complicate passeggiate spaziali richieste, oltre ad immagini in primo piano, del complicato aggancio del telescopio orbitante con il braccio meccanico ed un problema inaspettato che avrebbe potuto sabotare l’intera missione. Scene mozzafiato di immagini riprese durante i 20 anni di servizio dell’Hubble.
